Proposed zipper-like arrays formed by B7-1 and CTLA-4
The array shown is identical to that formed as part of the lattice in crystals of B7-1 (purple) and CTLA-4 (cyan). Formation of the arrays is expected to stabilize each interaction 100- to 10,000-fold.
