Coach or car are below, and various maps are
available.
The John Radcliffe Hospital is a large, modern complex on the top of Headington Hill, about 4 miles from the centre of Oxford. The University Department of Paediatrics is situated in the main block, on level 4, but also has laboratories and offices in the Institute of Molecular Medicine, the Women's Centre and the Churchill Hospital site.

The hospital is about three and a half miles from the station. The easiest way to get here is to take a taxi from the station - allow about 20 minutes for the journey.
Alternatively, there are regular bus services to the hospital complex from the city centre. Further details can be confirmed from the Oxford Bus Company (telephone number: (01865) 785400) and Stagecoach Oxford (telephone number: (01865) 772250).
Walking here from the station is only for fit people and fine weather - the route is four or five miles and ends with a steep hill!

There are frequent regular coach services 24 hours a day from London itself and also from Gatwick and Heathrow. The Oxford Tube can be contacted on +44 (0) 1865 772 250, and the Oxford Bus Company (which runs the airport services as well as another London-Oxford service) can be contacted on +44 (0) 1865 785 400 and these both stop in Headington on their way into Oxford city centre. It is best to get off in Headington and make your way along the London Road. Turn down Osler Road and the entrance is on your left. It is recommended that you have a look at the maps.

Wherever you approach from, it is best to make your way around the ring road and enter from the northern bypass (A40) rather than trying to negotiate central Oxford. We have links to a variety of maps. Parking space in the visitors car park is currently £1.50 for four hours. Disabled parking and a limited amount of short term (20 minutes maximum wait) parking is available close to the main entrances.
The John Radcliffe Hospital is in Headington, about 3 miles east of Oxford City Centre. It can be easily reached from the M40: exit at junction 8 (A40).
